Sunday, September 16
 
Jedi Training (all ages)
1:00 pm
Location:  Centennial Park (next to City Hall)
 
Learn the art of light saber attacks and defense to protect yourself from the dark side. If you don’t have your own light saber, we have a few ‘training’ sabers. Costumes are optional.

 
Promoted to Death – a murder mystery (Ages 15/16 )
7:30 -10:00 pm
Location:  Around the World Restaurant (Commonwealth Ave.)
Admission:  $15
 
When Ronnie Murphy was promoted to Regional Manager of Bulldog Office Supply company, he knew it was going to be a challenge, but he didn’t know it would be murder.
 
 Join the members of the Morrigan Theatre Company at this evening of mystery, and help figure out who had it in for Ronnie!
 
The story is planned, but the dialogue is improvised. Interview the suspects, gather the clues and solve the mystery.
 
Admission includes bar food and tea/coffee/soft drinks. Other beverages are available for purchase.

Michael J. McCarthy Youth Readings
7:00 – 8:00 pm
Location:  Ross King Memorial Public Library
Imagination and skill combine to give our local youth writers the ability to create incredible worlds, catch a glimpse of them at our youth readings!


 
Tuesday, September 18


Get Messy!
9:30 – 11:00 am
Location:  Admiralty House Museum
 
Bring your preschooler for a fun morning of finger painting, playdoh and drawing. We’ll clean up the mess!
 
Sing-a-long for kids
4:00 – 5:00 pm
Location:  Admiralty House Museum
 
Mount Pearl Show Choir member Kate Ennis will be leading kids through a bunch of fun and goofy songs, come along and sing your little hearts out!


Dance Class (16 )
7:30 – 8:30 pm
Location:  Pearlgate Track and Field Complex
(Please park behind the MAX building, by the dog park on Olympic Drive, as complex parking is being paved.)
 
Instructor C. Matthew Pike will be leading us through a fun dance lesson incorporating modern dance, jazz, hip-hop, and, for the brave, breakdance!

Stop Thinking and WRITE!

Join writer Christine Hennebury for a free writing class. Learn how to ease yourself into writing habits, and turn off your inner critic, and get some words on paper!

Bring your overdramatic kids to put their imagination to good use at our theatre games session with actor/improviser Drew Ennis.
