Commonwealth Avenue Construction Update (Aug 6 – 17)

Commonwealth Avenue from Glendale Avenue to Ruth Avenue

Be advised that sanitary and storm sewers installation along the center lanes of Commonwealth Avenue (civic numbers 2 – 9) and 250 Park Avenue is estimated to be ongoing at this location from August 9 to August 17. Center lane closures will occur during this time period.

Commonwealth Avenue (civic numbers 103 – 115)

Be advised that sanitary and storm sewers installation along the east lanes of Commonwealth Avenue (civic numbers 103 – 115) is estimated to be ongoing at this location from August 6 to August 17. East lane closures will occur during this time period.

Commonwealth Avenue (civic numbers 64 – 50)

Be advised that sanitary and storm sewers installation along the west lanes of Commonwealth Avenue (civic numbers 64 – 50) is estimated to be ongoing from August 6 to August 17. West lane closures will occur during this time period.

Commonwealth Avenue and St. David’s Avenue Intersection

Be advised that the waterline on St. Davids Avenue is scheduled to be connected to the watermain in Commonwealth Avenue on Monday, August 6th. St. David’s Avenue will be closed at Commonwealth Avenue from 9am to 6pm.  Additional details to follow on closures and water service disruptions.

Commonwealth Avenue and Park Avenue/Ruth Avenue Intersection

The intersection of Commonwealth Avenue, Ruth Avenue and Park Avenue will have additional traffic restrictions on Tuesday, August 7,  and Wednesday, August 8. Residents are reminded to expect delays and plan alternate routes where possible. Please note:

  • Right turns only will be permitted off Ruth Avenue and Park Avenue onto Commonwealth Avenue.
  • Commonwealth Avenue south bound will be through traffic only.
  • Commonwealth Avenue north bound will be through traffic and right turns only.
  • Traffic signals will be flashing yellow for through traffic on Commonwealth and flashing red for traffic on Park Avenue and Ruth Avenue.
