Temporary Water Shut Off – Commonwealth Avenue

Area Impacted: Commonwealth Ave (#s 80 – 98 & 85 – 95a)

This is to advise residents noted above that the city will be conducting Water Valve Replacement scheduled from 9:00 am to 4:00pm on Tuesday, August 17, 2021.

When the water service is restored, you may notice discolored water or air in the line water system. If this is observed, it can be alleviated by opening a cold-water tap and letting the water run in a fixture that does not have an aerator, such as a laundry tub or a bathtub. If the problem persists, please contact the Department of Infrastructure and Public Works at 748-1016.

It is recommended that you refrain from doing laundry on this day to lessen the possibility of clothes being soiled or stained by discolored water.
