NOTICE OF TENTATIVELY SCHEDULED BRIEFING SESSION

PROPOSED DISCRETIONARY USE – DA19-0231 – 21 Kyle Avenue – Pardy’s Waste Management and Industrial Services

Wednesday, January 8, 2020, 2019 at 7:00 pm, Mount Pearl City Hall

The City is in receipt of an application by Chimo Construction on behalf of Pardy’s Waste Management and Industrial Services to construct a new building with a floor area of 708m² to be used as a tank farm and bulk storage of liquids such as brine and drill mud. The tank farm will consist of 24 tanks with 90m³ capacity each. Products will be delivered via tank truck and subsequently shipped out via tank truck for use off shore or disposition to another entity. The subject property is located within the Industrial – Light (IL) Use Zone and the proposed use is considered a Hazardous Industry Use as per the City’s Development Regulations. The proposed use is within the range of uses that Council may permit at the subject property at its discretion.

Prior to making their decision, Council invites comments in writing no later than 12:00 noon, Friday, January 3, 2020. Should no comments be received, the briefing session will be cancelled. Comments received form part of the public record. If you do not wish your name attributed to your submission, please advise the City.
