Notice of Public Consultation – 79-115 Mount Carson Avenue Amendment

PROPOSED AMENDMENTS TO KENMOUNT HILL INFILL COMPREHENSIVE DEVELOPMENT SCHEME 2007,
MOUNT PEARL MUNICIPAL PLAN 2010 AND DEVELOPMENT REGULATIONS 2010

The public is advised that Council invites feedback on a proposed amendment to the Kenmount Hill Infill Comprehensive Development Scheme 2007, Mount Pearl Municipal Plan 2010, and Mount Pearl Development Regulations 2010, which, if amended would include a text amendment to the Kenmount Hill Infill CDS 2007, which guides the use of land in that area, to include Personal Care Use within the existing General Commercial Land Use Designation, and to add Personal Care Use to the list of Discretionary Uses in the Commercial – General (CG) Use Zone.

The purpose of this amendment is to provide Council with the authority to consider an application for a proposed Personal Care Use building, for the accommodation and care of elderly persons, at 79-115 Mount Carson Avenue, located on the corner of Mount Carson Avenue and Larsen Street.

As a result of the current COVID-19 public health emergency, a physical public Briefing Session cannot be accommodated. Council are providing the public 30 days to forward written submissions hard copy by mail or electronically, to the emails below. All written submissions will be considered by Council prior to making its decision on the matter.

Please forward any comments in writing no later than 12:00 noon, Monday, June 1, 2020. Comments received form part of the public record. If you do not wish your name attributed to your submission, please advise the City.
