Public Skating at the Glacier
NOTICE: Public skating will end for the season on Thursday, April 14th, 2022. Please see the final session dates for each skate type below.
Schedule
Adult/Senior Noon Skate (Glacier 1)
Final session will be Thursday, April 14th, 2022
Ages 17+
Monday to Friday from 12:00pm to 1:15pm
Parent and Tot Skate (Glacier 1)
Final session will be Thursday, April 14th, 2022
Ages 8 & under, plus parents/guardians
Monday to Friday from 1:30pm to 2:30pm
Family Skate (Glacier 1)
Final session will be Sunday, April 10th, 2022
All ages, parents/guardians must accompany children
Saturday from 2:00pm to 3:15pm
Sunday from 2:30pm to 3:45pm
Admission
- Adult – $5.00
- Child/Senior (50+) – $4.00
*Parent and Tot Skate – Cost is $5.00 for one adult and two children, $4.00 for each additional child, and $5.00 for each additional adult.
Public Skating Guidelines
- Masks are mandatory while in the facility, except for when on the ice.
- CSA approved hockey helmets, recreational alpine skiing or snowboarding helmets must be worn on the ice at all times. No other helmets will be accepted.
- Sticks, pucks, pylons, chairs, sleds, strollers or hockey pucks are not permitted on the ice at any time during any public skate. Skating aids are permitted.
- Food and beverages will be permitted to be consumed in the facility while seated only.
- No food or beverages will be permitted in the facility, including coffee, tea, and snacks. Only water bottles for participants will be permitted.
- Children under the age of 12 need to be accompanied on ice by an adult
If any skating sessions are to be cancelled, a cancellation note will be posted in the facility as well as on the City of Mount Pearl’s website, and the skating schedule phone line will be updated at the Glacier.
