Street Upgrading: Glendale Avenue and Bradley Place

Glendale Avenue and Bradley Place have been selected by the City of Mount Pearl to undergo underground infrastructure replacement (sanitary/storm/water), removal and replacement of sidewalks/curb/gutter (where required), new surface asphalt, and reinstatement of landscaping, driveways, and any other items affected during construction.


Zone 1 – Glendale Avenue (from Commonwealth Avenue to First Street) in progress, asphalt to be completed by September 5, 2019.

Zone 5 – Bradley Place and Glendale (from Ruth Avenue to Bradley Place) in progress and to be completed before October 31, 2019.

Zone 2 –  Glendale Avenue (First Street to Roosevelt Avenue) will now begin August 27, 2019.

Zone 3 & 4 – Glendale Avenue (from Roosevelt Avenue to Bradley Place) to start in the spring of 2020 and completed before October 31, 2020.

Street rehabilitation is a reconstruction of the street which may include subgrade repair, replacement of underground services, new pavement and concrete curb and gutter, water and sewer.

Please note there may be instances of temporary disruption to power and/or water services to allow for completion of ongoing work. If this is necessary, you will be provided with adequate notice.

Throughout the life of the project, traffic detours are anticipated in order to facilitate the construction and for the
safety of workers and residents in the area. There may be periods when you may not have access to your
driveway, or when on-street parking of vehicles may not be available. We will provide adequate notice of any planned disruptions.


The contractor is permitted to work within the hours specified in the City’s Noise By-Law (7:00 am to 11:00 pm). Daily schedules may vary depending on weather conditions.
