Glacier Arena


The Glacier Arena is the skating arena in Mount Pearl. It is a three level multi-purpose complex with a boardroom, meeting room and snack shop.  Arena #1 has 85′ x 200′ ice/floor surface including: six dressing rooms, pro-shop, first aid room, referees room, 12 viewing booths, 1,004 fixed seating gallery capacity, concert capacity of 4,000, and crystal ice viewing room.  Arena #2 has 85’ x 200’ ice/floor surface including: four dressing rooms, canteen, training room, referees’ room and seating for 350 spectators, including heated seating. The Glacier is also equipped with a cafeteria with full kitchen services and standing room viewing onto Rink 1.

Each year, the skating season opens in the middle of September and concludes in April.

UPDATE: Regular season skating schedule ends on December 23rd, final skates are below:

Monday, December 23
– Adult/Senior Evening Skate (9:00-10:15pm)
– Adult/Senior Noon Skate (12:00-1:00pm)
– Parent & Tot Skate (1:30-2:30pm)

Tuesday, December 31
– First Night Celebrations – Free Family Skate (4pm – 6pm)

The regular ice schedule begins again on January 2, 2020.

Adult Skate 12:noon-1:15

Adult Lunchtime Skate (17+)
Monday – Friday: 12:00-1:00pm
$4.50 (adult) or $40 (10 pass)
$3.50 (50+) or $30 (10 pass)

Parent and Tot Skate
Monday – Friday: 1:30-2:30pm
$4.50 (1 adult & 2 kids)
$3.50 for each additional child
$4.50 additional adult
Children must be accompanied by an adult.

Adult Skate (17+)
Mondays:  9:00-10:15pm
$4.50 (adult) or $40 (10 pass)
$3.50 (50+) or $30 (10 pass)

Family Skate 
Saturdays:  2:00-3:15pm
Sundays: 2:30-3:45pm
$4.50 (adult) / $3.50 (child)
Children must be accompanied by an adult.

Free Skate Friday – Starting January 17, 2020
Every Friday in Glacier 2 from 3:00-4:00pm

All patrons MUST wear a CSA approved hockey helmet.
