Commercial Kiosk – Call for Vendors

Building upon the success of the 2023 kiosk pilot project, the city will place two mobile commercial kiosks at the Forest Avenue cul-de-sac in 2024.

The city is seeking a vendor in the hospitality [PS1], craft, retail, recreation, or entertainment industry to operate one kiosk this summer. Located next to the Waterford Valley T’Railway system at 29 Forest Avenue, this is a prime opportunity to take part in the growing City Centre area of Mount Pearl.

As a continuation of the initiative, the city will be hosting events, activities, and entertainment in the Forest Avenue T’Railway area during the summer months to encourage residents, tourists, and visitors to explore our trail system. The selected vendor will be able to provide offerings and services at those times and throughout the summer. These initiatives align with recommendations from the Find Your Centre – City Centre Renewal Plan, which was informed by extensive public engagement.

Please note the following features/amenities/limitations of the commercial kiosk:

• 8’x12’ space.
• Does not include conventional ovens or deep fryers.
• Includes the following equipment for use by the selected vendor, as required:
  • Full electricity and power to support service requirements;
  • Four (4) sinks for food health and safety requirements;
  • A standard size fridge;
  • Preparation counters;
  • Shelving and storage area; and
  • Key/lock system to be provided by City.

The space will be offered from May 17th, 2024 to September 3rd, 2024. You provide the products or services that people love. We’ll provide the support and exposure you need to soar to new heights. It’s a win-win.
