Commercial Kiosk – Call for Vendors

The City of Mount Pearl is now accepting applications from local entrepreneurs, small businesses, and food or retail vendors to operate one of two City-owned commercial kiosks at the Team Gushue Sports Complex for the 2026 season.
This opportunity is ideal for businesses looking to grow their presence, connect with the community, and operate in a vibrant, high-traffic location throughout the summer.
Available Kiosks
Two (2) kiosks are available for the 2026 season:
1. Partial Kitchen Kiosk
Designed for food and beverage vendors requiring limited kitchen amenities.
Includes:
- Full electrical hookup
- Four (4) sinks to meet food safety requirements
- Small refrigerator
- Preparation counters
- Shelving and storage space
- Lockable doors (keys provided by the City)
Note: This kiosk does not include conventional ovens or deep fryers.
2. Retail Commercial Kiosk
Ideal for retail, craft, non-cooking food, recreation, or specialty service vendors.
Includes:
- Full electrical hookup
- Serving counter and shelving
- Lockable doors (keys provided by the City)
Location
π Team Gushue Sports Complex
Both kiosks are located in the same area as the 2025 season, within a highly active community hub that hosts:
- Sports tournaments and competitions
- Community events
- Seasonal programming
- High daily foot traffic from residents and visitors
Nearby amenities include washrooms, picnic tables, and garbage/recycling services maintained by the City.
Operating Season & Fees
- Operating Period: May 20 β September 30, 2026
- Rental Fee: $1,500 (one-time fee for the full season)
- Extension: An optional extension may be offered at the Cityβs discretion based on success
Vendor Responsibilities
Successful applicants must:
- Be a registered business in good standing
- Obtain and maintain all required permits, licenses, and insurance
- Operate a minimum of:
- 30 hours per week, and
- 14 hours each weekend
- Submit an operating schedule for approval
- Offer affordable, price-sensitive options suitable for the community
- Maintain cleanliness and proper care of the kiosk and surrounding area
The City will assist selected vendors with navigating permit and licensing requirements where applicable.
