Tentative Public Briefing Session – 12 Portsmouth Close – Subsidiary Apartment

The City is in receipt of an application for a Subsidiary Apartment Within a Single Detached Dwelling at 12 Portsmouth Close (DA26-0572). As per the Mount Pearl Development Regulations 2010, Subsidiary Apartment Within a Single Detached Dwelling is a Discretionary Use in the Residential Low Density (RLD) Use Zone. The applicant proposes to convert a portion of the existing dwelling into a subsidiary apartment.

A Discretionary Use is subject to Sections 4.5 and 4.20 of the Regulations, requiring public notice. The proposed use is subject to the requirements of the Residential Low Density (RLD) Use Zone.

A Public Briefing Session to receive comments will be held:

If no registrations or comments are received by noon, Monday, October 26, 2026, the Public Briefing Session will be cancelled and a cancellation notice posted to the City’s website.
