Snowshoe & Cross-Country Ski Program

The cross-country ski and snowshoe rental program is currently closed for the 2023-2024 season.

The City of Mount Pearl provides free snowshoe and cross-country ski rentals! Get outside and enjoy the beautiful trails around Power’s Pond with friends and family.

DATES/TIMES

Monday to Friday: 2:30pm to 9:30pm
Saturday and Sunday: 10:00am to 6:00pm

Please note, that days of operation are weather dependent and based on snow cover. Please call the info line at 709-764-7635 for updated facility operations during hours of operation.

COST/RENTAL PERIOD

The snowshoes, skis, and two adaptable sleds are FREE to rent!

The rental period is 2 hours per person.

Note: we have limited quantities available, and they will be provided on a first-come, first-served basis.

Both kids and adult sizes are available, or bring along your own!

GROOMED TRAILS

Throughout the winter months, the city grooms areas of its trail system for walking, snowshoeing, and cross-country skiing. Groomed trails are highlighted in red and can be found here: Winter groomed trail map.
