Mount Pearl Food Drive

At the beginning of the COVID-19 crisis, the churches of Mount Pearl, as well as food banks, businesses, Municipal and Provincial leaders gathered to express concern for our vulnerable population.

The demand on food banks has increased by 20% compared to this time last year and we are anticipating a larger increase in the coming weeks. As a result, the Mount Pearl Community Supper Group has launched a GoFundMe Campaign to support local food banks.

As quoted by Rev. David Burrows of the Parish of Ascension, “at this time of change and increased anxiety, the food banks still provide care to Mount Pearl’s most vulnerable. We may have to self-isolate, but our hearts and monetary donations can still help those in greatest need.”
