Mount Pearl Crime Prevention Committee Seeking New Members

The Mount Pearl Citizens’ Crime Committee Prevention is a non-profit, volunteer-based organization and is a member of the Citizens’ Crime Prevention Association of Newfoundland and Labrador that was formed in 1988.

The Committee is comprised of law enforcement and citizens who are wishing to better Mount Pearl and who share a belief that crime prevention can be achieved through community involvement and education.  The ultimate goal of the Committee is to ensure that we all live in a safe and secure environment. The main focus of the Committee is to develop community wellness through crime prevention strategies. The Committee strives to address the needs of the public, businesses and government.  The mandate is to highlight and promote crime prevention strategies within our city. It often provides public education and awareness on community-based crime prevention strategies.

The Committee partners with the Royal Newfoundland Constabulary and the City of Mount Pearl’s Municipal Enforcement Division to offer its programs.

The Committee is presently seeking new members who have an interest in crime prevention and ensuring the city is a safe place to live. If you are interested in joining or would like some further information, contact Chairperson Rosiland Pratt, rpratt709@gmail.com.
