NOTICE OF BRIEFING SESSION (MONDAY, JULY 19, 2021 at 7:00 PM, Mount Pearl City Hall)
Proposed Change to Non-Conforming Use
DA21-0270 – 78 Glencoe Drive

The City is in receipt of an application by Carrick Engineering Inc. to construct a building extension at 78 Glencoe Drive, to increase warehouse space for the storage of building supplies. The applicant is requesting a side yard width of 2.2 metres for the building extension. This would be a continuation of an existing non-conforming use.

The subject property is located within the Industrial – Light Use Zone. The existing building does not comply with the minimum side yard development standard of 3 metres on one side yard of the building; however, the proposed building extension does not increase the existing non-conformity. Any change to an existing non-conforming use requires public notification, in accordance with the Mount Pearl Development Regulations 2010. The proposal meets all other requirements of the City of Mount Pearl Development Regulations 2010.

Prior to making their decision, Council invites comments in writing no later than 12:00 NOON, FRIDAY, JULY 16, 2021. Should no comments be received, the briefing session will be cancelled. Comments received form part of the public record. If you do not wish your name to be attributed to your submission, please advise the City.
