City Days 2024

Let’s celebrate our city! City Days is bursting with opportunities to enjoy everything Mount Pearl offers. There’s something for everyone from concerts and teas to yoga, family movies, and everything in between! It’s happening from July 18th to 21st, so let’s celebrate!


THURSDAY, JULY 18

Best in Mount Pearl Awards
Time: 7:00-9:00 pm
Location: Reid Centre

Let’s honor the City’s best! The citizen awards provide an opportunity to showcase residents, businesses, and community groups who lead the pack and help make Mount Pearl a better place to live, work, and play.


FRIDAY, JULY 19

Senior’s Tea in the Garden
· 1st seating: 10:30 am-12:00 pm
· 2nd seating: 1:00 pm – 2:30 pm

Enjoy entertainment by Stan Butler while treating yourself to tea, coffee, and snacks in the beautiful gardens of Admiralty House Museum.

Pride in the Pearl
Time: 6:00-9:00 pm
Location: St. David’s Park

Council will BBQ and serve free hot dogs and hamburgers to residents. There will be Pride swag, games of chance, and live entertainment by Keith Power and Evelyn Jess and the Hot Mess.

 

Outdoor Family Movie
Time
: 9:00-11:00 pm
Location: St. David’s Park

“The Mitchells vs. The Machines.” Canteen provided by local Girl Guides.


SATURDAY, JULY 20

Sunrise Yoga
Time: 7:00-8:00 am
Location: St. David’s Park

Start your Saturday with a relaxing yoga session in St. David’s Park led by Bodhi Hot Yoga, followed by complimentary tea/coffee and snacks.

Princess and Superhero Breakfast
Time: 9:00-11:00 am
Location: St. David’s Park

This family favourite includes activities in the park, children’s entertainment, princesses, superheroes, and a picnic breakfast.
*Tickets are $5 each and will go on sale at the Summit Centre, on July 8th at 9 am.*

 

Paws in the Park
Time: 1:00-3:00 pm
Location: Forest Ave cul-de-sac

Tails will be waggin’ for this pet walk! A fun event for the whole family where pet owners can bring along their four-legged friends for a walk around the trails. We’ll have treats and water activities for the pets.

Birthday Block Party
Time: 1:00-4:00 pm
Location: Centennial Street

Entertainment, carnival food, petting zoo, interactive shows, ice cream, Johnny and Maes food truck, and bouncy castle. All on Centennial Street!

· Petting Zoo: Black Label Farm, featuring a wide variety of farm animals, including a baby cow and fuzzy chickens

Swim-in Movie
Time: 7:00-9:00 pm
Location: Summit Centre

Watch “Flipper” while swimming.

SUNDAY, JULY 21

Family Trail Run
Time: 9:00-10:30 am
Location: The Outfitters (Castors Dr) to Power’s Pond Boat House

Join us for an all-ages fun trail run. Start your Sunday off active. There will be race kits, medals, and refreshments. Register Here 

Family Fun Day
Time: 10:00 am – 2:00 pm
Location: Admiralty House Museum

Come join Admiralty House Communications Museum and the Association for the Arts in Mount Pearl for Family Fun Day! We will have everything from potato sack races to face painting, snacks, prizes, and more!

City Days Cornhole Classic
Time: 12:00-4:30 pm
Location: Ruth Ave Sportsplex

Ages 17+ doubles cornhole tournament, hosted by Cornhole NL. Come out for an afternoon of cornhole, entertainment, and prizes. Families are welcome to attend to take in some cornhole action! Beer tent on site 19+. $10 per person to be paid on-site. Register Here

Multi-Cultural Community Market
Time: 1:00-5:00 pm
Location: St. David’s Park

We’ll host a late afternoon/early evening open-air market with a wonderful array of multicultural and locally produced arts, crafts, and food.

Free Aquafit Class
Time: 8:00-9:00 pm
Location: Summit Centre

Wind down your day with a free Aquafit class at the Summit Centre.

Multi-Cultural Community Celebration
Time: 2:00-4:00 pm
Location: St. David’s Park

Let’s take the opportunity to bring the community together and celebrate the cultural diversity that enriches us collectively and reaffirms equity, inclusion, and mutual respect.

Birthday Bash
Time: 5:00-11:00 pm
Location: Ruth Ave Sportsplex

We wrap up City Days with our biggest party of the summer! Join us for great music, delicious food, and the 19+ beer tent:
