The City of Mount Pearl is home to many amazing people and we want to recognize those who go above and beyond! This year, we’re kicking off City Days with a bigger and broader awards ceremony to honour our most outstanding citizens who through their achievements and extraordinary efforts have made exemplary contributions to the community.

A huge thank you to all nominators, and congratulations to the nominees. Finalists will gather at the Reid Centre and the awards will be presented in 4 categories.

The finalists include:

Impact in Music, Arts, and Culture Award – Conway, Mount Pearl Show Choir, Association for the Arts in Mount Pearl (AAMP)

Community Group of the Year – Mount Pearl Frosty Festival, Mount Pearl Seniors Independence Group, Mount Pearl Citizens’ Crime Prevention Committee

Citizen of the Year – Dave Lythgoe, Calvin Smith, Robert Hayes

Lifetime Achievement Award – Agnes Murphy, Bernice Miller, Barbara Predham

The Best in Mount Pearl Awards is hosted by the City of Mount Pearl. Doors will open at 6:30pm and the ceremony will start at 7:15pm. Hot hors d’oeuvres will be served. Tickets go on sale Wednesday, July 10 at the Summit Centre and can be purchased until 4pm on Tuesday, July 16^th.
