Twine Loft at Admiralty House

February 17, 2020 @ 2:00 pm - 4:30 pm

Join us during Heritage Week as the Anna Templeton Centre and Fishing for Success turn Admiralty House into a Twine Loft for the day! Hear about the types of twine and rope used in the Newfoundland and Labrador fishing industry, while you learn to make a withe and to knit a fishing net. These traditional skills can be used to make contemporary crafts, and you will leave with the knowledge and tools to continue working with rope and twine.

This workshop is funded through New Horizons and limited to 20 people. The workshop is free, and all supplies will be provided.

Registration is required at https://www.eventbrite.com/e/twine-loft-tickets-85260671965. If you have any questions, please contact the Anna Templeton Centre at 739-7623 or annatempletoncentre@gmail.com.
